Is it worth it? Making new year resolutions, I mean. Do we stick to them? Does it make any difference? research shows that those who write down their objectives are more likely to achieve them. And it doesn't need a new year to be effective. Any time is a good time to make a new start. Anyone involved with business will know that a 5 year plan is a necessity, not a luxury, and yet in our private lives we seem to work on the basis that it is OK to go on a wing and a prayer.
Start with a list of objectives that you want to achieve. Then map out the steps you need to complete to get there. Review regularly. Amend as necessary. Keep doing it. Not just in January!
