I'm doing a fair amount of team facilitation right now, with the NHS reorganisation bringing new teams together, and recruitment creating new teams across the commissioning world.  Teams above all are needing to feel valued, and to understand where they fit in the new world.  Those who have worked in the NHS value being part of the patient story, and the new structures have put some distance between teams and the front line NHS world.  Understanding how they contribute to good patient experiences through their work can sometimes be hard, and learning to work in a more commercial and customer focused way is a challenge.
Managers tell me that their staff need to feel that they are valued, and that their contribution really does matter.  I'm using Myers Briggs Type Indicator to help teams understand how they work together.  It has never been more relevant!
