An early morning start today. Still dark as I leave the house and set off to meet with a team of people who are using MBTI for their development.  I haven't met any of them yet, and yet I have their reports and so might have an idea about what they will be like - or will I?  I try not to pre-judge the outcome of MBTI feedback because each person knows themselves better than anyone, and the reported type may not be right.  We fill in the questionnaire with all kinds of external factors influencing how we respond and sometimes let what we think we ought to be cloud our responses.  Getting to the heart of who we are is what makes MBTI useful - if we paint a picture for the outside world that is built on what we think we should be like, our life will be filled with struggle and tension.
Accept who you are and build your life around that and you will be fulfilled and satisfied.  Are you in a job where you are expected to be ruthless and logical in your decisions and yet you struggle to rationalise the impact on people?  Perhaps you need to find a role where your feeling side is appreciated.....
